Google first launched Google TV in 2010 in collaboration with Sony and Logitech devices that produce set-top box. Unfortunately, sales of these devices are not encouraging. But this did not dampen the spirit of Google.
"The first version of Google TV is not perfect. But with the launch, has given us the opportunity to learn," said Mario Queiroz, Google's Vice President of Product Management.
In line with Queiroz, Vincent Dureau as Director of Engineering Google says it is now working hard to develop a Google TV better done through any updates.
Queiroz and Dureau said Google TV user interface is simpler. Home screen can be set as desired, to help users find their favorite content quickly. In the area of 'all apps', users can view the shortcuts the same as those they see on Android phones and tablets.
"We developed the search for the content of Live TV, Netflix, YouTube, HBO GO and much more," said both. What if users do not know what they are looking for? Google now provides applications 'TV & Movies' that allows them to find 80,000 movies and TV shows via cable or satellite TV, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and other sites.
Google also launched a new YouTube experience designed specifically for Google TV. YouTube will now be more integrated with Google search the TV so that consumers can engage in virtually any topic on the channel.
