Microsoft Mobile Division Chief Replaced By Terry Myerson

Microsoft's dominance of the more aggressively expand into the smartphone business, the software giant is feeling the need to update the software business division appointed head of a new mobile phone.

According to a circular letter sent by Chief Executive Steve Ballmer Micorosoft to its employees, Andy Lees, President of the division Windows Phone that has been led since 2009, will receive a new role in Microsoft's business involving the PC and phone.

The person chosen to replace Lees is Terry Myerson. Previously, he had been given the task of engineering on the phone. "Myerson will be responsible for the development of Windows Phone, marketing and business functions," wrote Ballmer.


Reported by Reuters on Tuesday (12.13.2011), the operating system (OS) Microsoft Windows is the software most widely used personal computers in the world. But in the mobile market, Microsoft had to struggle against the dominance of Apple's IOS and Google Android.

Ballmer said the Lees, in his new role will be working for him who focus creates maximum impact and Windows Phone Windows 8 in 2012.
