AMD Bulldozer "The Fastest Processor" |
Wednesday desktop processors from AMD, FX-8150 managed to carve a new record as the fastest processors. From the standard 3.6 GHz clock, this product was able lauched to 8.58 GHz.
This is not the first time AMD Bulldozer carve the record for the fastest processor, the previous product also had lauched up to 8.4 GHz with the help of liquid nitrogen cooling system.
But the new records were achieved by an overclocker named Andre Yang. Besides using nitrogen cooling accomplishments also successful thanks to the processor voltage is raised, from the default of 1.992 V to 2.076 V.
As a result, thanks to a significant increase in power, with an 8 core processor that can operate at bus speed 276.9 MHz and muliplier as much as 31x.
Quoted from sofpedia, Monday (7/11/2011), the record was also achieved thanks to the other supporting components such as motherboards Asus Crosshair V Formula, Corsair 2GB DDR3 speed 923.8 MHz with timings 9-9-9-24T. To use the graphics card GeForce GTX 580.
